IT can be quite a heart-wrenching experience for parents to watch their child step into the classroom for the first time, and this was no different for singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza.
Harian Metro reported that the celebrity almost teared up as she watched her daughter Siti Aafiyah Khalid attend preschool for the first time on Monday.
“Aafiyah has been excited and looking forward to school. In fact, she even got herself ready and had time to pose in front of us with her uniform,” Siti Nurhaliza said in an Instagram post.
She added that upon reaching her classroom, her daughter dashed straight in without looking back.
“In fact, my husband and I had to call her to say our goodbyes with me close to shedding tears,” she shared.
Siti, however, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to all who played a role in educating her daughter.
“May you (Aafiyah) always be a kind-hearted person and shine your light on others. To her teachers, thank you for helping her as well,” she said.
