THE Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah will be meeting the Conference of Rulers in immediate future to deliberate on Putrajaya’s proposals in combatting Covid-19.

In a statement issued by the Comptroller of the Royal Household today, Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin today, the Palace said the King will hold talks with the Malay Rulers in Istana Negara to discuss on proposals submitted by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

It was reported that Muhyiddin and senior ministers as well as the chief of army and police has been granted an audience with Sultan Abdullah at Istana Abdulaziz, Kuantan, Pahang.

The Palace said Sultan Abdullah has been briefed on the proposals made during the special Cabinet meeting yesterday.

Speculations are rife that Muhyiddin, in the special Cabinet meeting, has agreed to propose for state of emergency.

This was said to allow Muhyiddin-led administration, which holds a razor-thin majority in the Parliament to pass the 2021 Budget without going through the parliamentary sitting.

Sultan Abdullah advised Malaysians to remain calm and be patient in facing the current situation.
