Bose has announced three new items into its QuietComfort range of audio products. Featured in the new batch of items are the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, the QuietComfort Headphones and the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. As you’d expect, the highlights here are the two with Ultra in the name, and they both feature spatial audio tech.
The company calls its version of spatial sound “Immersive Audio”, its own proprietary tech and independent of Dolby Atmos. That being said, it still comes with head tracking tech, as well as two different modes for spatial audio.
As for the audio products themselves, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are the top-of-the-line model. Engadget reports that it boasts a 24-hour battery life or 18 hours with Immersive Audio, both with ANC left on. Charging is done via USB-C, but there’s no audio via this port. Controls come in the form of one mutlifunction button and one Bluetooth button, as well as an additional capacitive volume slider.
Moving on to the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, this one looks to be a replacement or successor to another pair of TWS buds that was just launched last year. The Verge says that the Ultra Earbuds will sport the same level of ANC, but improved voice call quality compared to the Earbuds II. Battery life for these are rated at six hours, or four with Immersive Audio. The report mentions an optional wireless charging case cover, which goes over the earbuds themselves.
Finally, there’s the Bose QuietComfort Headphones. This may be considered a replacement for the QuietComfort 45 which was announced back in 2021. Reports indicate that on the outside, the look of these headphones are unchanged. Though on the features side of things, it now grants users the ability to adjust noise cancellation levels. Battery life is also rated for 24 hours.
For their prices, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are tagged as US$429 (~RM2009). The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, on the other hand, come with a price tag of US$299 (~RM1401), with the base model QuietComfort Headphones rounding it up at US$349 (~RM1635). The two Ultra products are said to ship in early October, while the base headphones will come in earlier on 21 September. No word local pricing and availability just yet.
