PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,325 new Covid-19 cases on Monday (May 31), rising slightly from 1,155 the day before.
Of the new cases, 1,325 were local infections and two were imported.
The Health Ministry, through its CovidNow portal, said this brings the cumulative total of cases to 4,505,061.
There were also 1,935 recoveries, which means 4,445,611 people in Malaysia have recovered from Covid-19 to date.
There are currently 23,779 active cases, of which 95.8% (22,778 cases) are on home quarantine and 17 (0.1%) are being treated at low-risk quarantine and treatment centres (PKRC).
Of those infected nationwide, 954 are hospitalised (4%) and 32 are warded at intensive care units with 15 requiring breathing assistance.
Four fatalities were reported, taking the death toll to 35,669.
