PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 2,450 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday (Nov 19), says the Health Ministry.
The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Sunday (Nov 20 ) that this brings the new total to 4,965,666 cases since the pandemic began.
Of the 2,450, there are no imported cases; all are local.
The ministry also said through its KKMNow portal that there were 3,000 recoveries on Saturday, bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 27,156.
Of the active cases, 92.9% or 25,217 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 6.8% of active cases or 1,848 individuals need to be hospitalised, with 91 warded in intensive care units (ICU) throughout the country.
Of that number, 63 require ventilator support.
