PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 333 new Covid-19 infections on Tuesday (Jan 3), says the Health Ministry.
The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Wednesday (Jan 4) that this brings the new total to 5,027,790 cases since the pandemic began.
Of the 333, there is one imported case and the remaining 332 are local.
The ministry also said through its KKMNow portal that there were 376 recoveries on Tuesday bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 11,763.
Of the active cases, 94.4% or 11,109 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 5.3% of active cases or 622 individuals need to be hospitalised, with 32 warded in intensive care units (ICU) throughout the country.
Of that number, 20 require ventilator support.
