PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 3,969 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday (Nov 2), says the Health Ministry.
The Health Ministry said through data released on its KKMNow portal on Thursday (Nov 3) that this brings the new total to 4,857,508 cases since the pandemic began.
Of the 3,969, two are imported cases while 3,967 are local.
The ministry also said through its KKMNow portal that there were 2,696 recoveries on Wednesday, bringing the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 33,018.
Of the active cases, 95.3% or 31,458 individuals are undergoing home quarantine, while 4.5% of active cases or 1,497 individuals need to be hospitalised, with 63 warded in intensive care units (ICU) throughout the country.
Of that number, 47 require ventilator support.
