A TRADER in Kampung Kerandang, Besut, Terengganu has started selling seafood “thrift sets” for as low as RM10 to help villagers get access to wet ingredients at an affordable price, reported Sinar Harian.
Wan Mustafa Wan Nawang, 29, said he started selling squid, shrimp, crab and various types of fish together with vegetables, chilli and noodles about two weeks ago.
“At that time, it was the rainy season, so the residents who mostly work in the village as rubber tappers and padi growers could not earn a living, causing their income to be affected.
“So I got the idea to sell seafood such as squid and prawns – which usually cost RM20 to RM30 per kg – in sets so that they can buy them if they just have RM10 in their pocket.
“There are customers who are too shy to buy wet goods in small quantities, so the thrift sets are my way of helping them,” he said.
> After getting flak from netizens for saying “Made in Janda Baik” in reaction to his wife telling him of her pregnancy, actor Fizo Omar said it was just a joke between them, reported Harian Metro.
The 36-year-old said he spontaneously uttered the words as a joke as he often went to Janda Baik for business but did not expect the conversation with his wife Fazeera Nazri to make the headlines in some portals.“I was shocked when the words made the headlines.
“Actually, I had no idea about the surprise. After all, we were only married a month and suddenly my wife gave me a test kit. At first, I thought it was a Covid-19 test because she told me it was positive.
“It turned out that she was pregnant. My feelings at that time were mixed because we were just planning to go on a honeymoon.”
Fizo also apologised if the video shared caused any uneasiness.
