MELAKA: Residential property sales involving 7,165 units hit a whopping RM3.48bil during the Home Ownership Campaign (HOC), said Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali.
“I have to thank the Melaka Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) for their commitment to helping the state government build more homes for the locals,” he said after launching the Melaka Property Expo at a shopping complex here yesterday.
Melaka Rehda chairman Datuk Ng Choon Koon was also present during the event.
Sulaiman said 21,511 residential units were being developed in the state, as well as 11,768 units that were still in the planning stage.
He said there were also 630 unsold residential units between January and March, with 531 units in the Melaka Tengah district.
“We hope the locals will also take the opportunity to visit the expo, where 22 local housing developers are promoting 40 new schemes throughout the state,” he added.
