The government will impose Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) for Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya from Wednesday (12.01 am) until October 27.

Senior minister (security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob however said that under the CMCO, all economic activities will be allowed to operate.

However, the workers may need a work permit or work pass for inter-district travel within the CMCO areas.

Among some regulations under CMCO include:

  • Only two people in a household are allowed to shop
  • All schools and education institutions will be closed
  • All sports, recreational, social and cultural activity are prohibited
  • All mosques and worship places for non- Muslims will be closed.

According to Ismail Sabri, additional standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be announced by the National Security Council soon.
