Sabah govt to decide on policy on China arrivals only after Health Dept briefing

Posted on Disember 31, 2022 by min

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government has decided that they will only determine how to manage arrivals from China after getting a briefing from the state Health Department.

In a statement on Saturday (Dec 31), Sabah Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) said that the requirement for arrivals from China to provide a negative result on a pre-departure test before being allowed to enter Sabah will be put on hold until then.

“It will be postponed until the Sabah Health Department gives briefing and recommendations to the state cabinet on Wednesday (January 4),” he said.

The statement was issued to rectify his earlier press release saying that effective Jan 1, 2023, those arriving from China needed to test negative within a 48-hour period prior to entering Sabah.
