ACTRESS Sweet Qismina (pic) will not be marrying her fiance Adam Lee in secret, reported Utusan Malaysia.
The couple, who got engaged on Oct 24 last year, have been the focus of fans, especially as their engagement came after three years of courtship.
However, many are also puzzled as to whether or not the two will hold a wedding ceremony because there has been no news of preparations for the ceremony.
There were also talks of the possibility of Sweet and Adam choosing the path like other artistes who married in secret.
The Bidadari Salju drama actress, whose real name is Farhanna Qismina Supandi, 25, admitted that her fiancé Adam and herself were more comfortable staying low profile and focusing on their work for now.
“But that doesn’t mean we won’t get married. About marriage, God willing, according to the plan, maybe this year we will get married.”
> Apart from the “surprise” Hari Raya Aidilfitri, a woman from Pasir Mas, Kelantan, was also shocked when she received two marriage proposals on the second day of Raya, reported Harian Metro.
Nur Fatin Atirah Mohd Zani, 22, had received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Muhammad Faiz Mohamed, 27, and also a surprise proposal from a relative on her mother’s side.
Nur Fatin Atirah said that she and her family were only ready to receive the arrival of Muhammad Faiz on that day.
“Since the beginning of the year, my boyfriend had expressed a desire to meet and get acquainted with mama (Maheran Ramly, 41) and abah (Mohd Zani Hamzah, 49).
“However, it was only on the second day of Raya that he had the opportunity to come to my house.
“About 10 minutes after my boyfriend arrived, a group of relatives from my mother’s side of the family also arrived at my house, bringing with them cloth and money in an envelope as a sign to propose,” she said.
A representative of the group then approached her and whispered her desire to propose to Nur Fatin Atirah on behalf of her grandson.
“I was shocked and kept telling her that I already had someone.
“Then, abah and mama explain- ed to the representative of the group about my status and the purpose of the presence of my boyfriend who also came to discuss marriage.
“So my family and I refused in a nice way. Even my parents were surprised by the arrival of the group because they were not told in advance,” said Nur Fatin Atirah, who is also the eldest of four siblings.
She added that her boyfriend was not discouraged but just teased her after knowing the truth.
They plan to tie the knot early next year after more than two years of courtship.
