A four-month-old baby boy who is in a coma is believed to have been abused by a nanny at a registered childcare centre in Kuala Terengganu, reported Sinar Harian.
The baby, who suffered a brain haemorrhage and fractured skull, is being treated at the children’s Intensive Care Unit at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital there.
Terengganu police chief Datuk Rohaimi Md Isa said the father, 29, who works as a medical officer, had picked up his baby at the daycare centre and found the boy weak and in pain. The report stated that the baby was taken to the hospital.
An examination showed that there was a blood clot in the baby’s head and the father made a police report on the same day, the report stated.
Rohaimi said CCTV footage found that the nanny had hit the baby’s head, slammed and shook his body.
Rohaimi said police raided the childcare centre and arrested three local women aged between 22 and 33 who were on duty as nannies on Monday.
“The case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act for abusing or injuring a child which provides for a fine of not more than RM50,000 or a maximum of 20 years jail or both,” he said.
> Veteran actor Kazar Saisi said he was tired of being “bullied” after his daughter Ira’s “scandalous” marriage to famous director Syamsul Yusof and she became his second wife, Harian Metro reported.
The report stated that Kazar uploaded a message on Instagram describing the emotions that he was going through.
“Take a break… tired of being bullied…huhu… cu (see you) at some fine day…,” he wrote.
Earlier, the actor who played the role of Pak Samad in the drama 7 Hari Mencintaiku, became the subject of criticism of various parties, especially after Syamsul revealed that Kazar was the wali (guardian) for the wedding that took place in Thailand.
The move by Syamsul, 38, to marry Ira, 27, was heavily criticised by his first wife Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin, 37, and fans.
A check on Kazar’s Instagram found that he often made funny comments which drew responses from fellow artists.
